More than two-thirds of Americans do not have an estate plan. Sadly, if an estate plan isn’t in place, the state where you reside will decide how your assets are allocated.

Estate planning is for everyone, and being prepared with an estate plan is a meaningful gift you can leave your heirs.

Planning for your estate requires diligent forethought, and to help you better understand estate planning, HonorHealth Foundation is pleased to present a series of no-cost, one-hour Estate Planning Seminars, conveniently provided at various HonorHealth locations.

The seminars will feature presenters including Keith Wibel, HonorHealth Foundation Financial Health Advisory Council Chair, and Lynn Badura, HonorHealth Foundation AVP of Planned Giving.

These free educational seminars will provide comprehensive estate planning information. All attendees will receive a complimentary Estate Planning Guide and have the opportunity to ask questions in a group or one-on-one with our HonorHealth Foundation team.

A basic will may be the centerpiece of your estate plan, but there are additional documents that encompass a well-crafted plan, including:

• Last will and testament and/or a trust to formalize your wishes on how your assets are distributed upon your passing and designating beneficiaries such as heirs or charities.
• Durable power of attorney for your finances assigns a representative/agent to oversee your financial issues if you are unable to do so.
• Durable power of attorney for healthcare assigns an agent/representative in the event you are medically incapacitated.
• Living will or advanced directive formalizes your wishes regarding medical care in the event you are terminally ill.

Each Estate Planning Seminar will provide you with the information you need to help develop a well-crafted estate plan!
