Treatment options personalized for every patient

Between different types and different stages, cancer can be complicated. That’s why HonorHealth Cancer Care offers a variety of treatment options.

Our cancer experts help patients understand available treatments and design an individualized plan that’s best for them. Treatment may include one or more therapies such as:

Chemotherapy

HonorHealth’s outpatient infusion services are provided by experienced, compassionate healthcare professionals in a comfortable, soothing environment.

Immunotherapy

This novel approach to cancer treatment involves using the immune system to destroy cancer cells. For example, immunotherapy can involve helping the immune system to recognize cancer cells so it can attack them. It also can mean giving patients specially created antibodies that attach themselves to proteins on the surface of cancer cells, thereby killing the cancer cells or preventing them from growing.

Radiation

We offer care by the most recognizable names in cancer treatment and advanced technology. This includes providing high-precision techniques that enable higher doses of radiation to be delivered with a dramatic reduction in side effects compared to conventional treatment.

Surgery

Experienced surgeons help treat a variety of cancers, such as colorectal, gynecologic, breast, prostate, sarcoma, head and neck, lung, skin, and endocrine and pancreas cancer. Many of these surgeries can be performed with the da Vinci robotic surgical system, providing patients with less pain, smaller incisions and faster recoveries.

Stem cell transplant

Blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma require massive levels of chemotherapy. While this treatment aims to kill cancer cells, it unfortunately can destroy healthy, vital cells in the bone marrow.

That’s where stem cell transplants, also known as bone marrow transplants, come in. HonorHealth’s Cancer Transplant Institute, which is housed in HonorHealth Cancer Care, has served patients ages 17 to 80 from across Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada and other locations.

We’ve also worked with allogeneic donors (who provide stem cells for transplant into patients) from all over the nation, as well as Mexico, Italy, Germany, Thailand, Israel, Romania, Belgium and England.
