Patient Assistance Fund grant helps family coping with dementia The Russell family applied to the HonorHealth Patient Assistance Fund for help with their Aunt Linda’s care. Linda is navigating the dementia journey and was showing signs she could not continue to live alone. After review, the Russells were awarded assistance for her move to a skilled assisted living facility. The Patient Assistance Fund is realized through the generosity of donors. The funds are managed by HonorHealth social workers and made available to patients in need to ease the financial burden experienced by patients and their families during a critical time. The Russell family asked us to share their note of gratitude. We are honored to serve them and their aunt during this challenging time. |

HonorHealth | CDW Healthcare Transformation Center officially opens its doors On October 3, HonorHealth Foundation held a ribbon cutting to highlight our transformational partnership with CDW, and provide tours to our business partners, donors and staff through this center of innovation and technology. With a shared vision to transform healthcare, the Center was established to drive innovation forward, which is essential for adapting to the rapidly changing landscape of healthcare and meeting the evolving needs of our communities. CDW, a Fortune 200 company, is a leading multi-brand provider of information technology solutions to business, government, education and healthcare customers in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. The Transformation Center is made of five primary spaces where HonorHealth staff can evaluate potential new solutions, practice real-time drills and train with simulation technology to elevate patient outcomes. The Workroom. Also fondly known as the Mad Scientist Room – it is a place where boxes arrive and the work begins to build, configure and launch the initial testing of solutions. It is always in motion with new solutions to evaluate. Beta Room. Once a solution is ready to be tested by HonorHealth, it's moved into an area where technical resources can continue to work on it, but also healthcare leaders and providers can come experiment, test and provide feedback. Beta Room. Once a solution is ready to be evaluated by HonorHealth, it's moved into an area where healthcare leaders and providers can experiment, test and provide feedback. Simulation Rooms (three adjacent rooms). Solutions that receive positive feedback are promoted to the simulation rooms where everything more closely resembles the real day-to-day healthcare environment. There, staff can operate as they would day-to-day and include the new solutions into that workflow. If that process goes well, it becomes a candidate for HonorHealth to roll out to a hospital for further evaluation. The Center simulation areas have traditional hospital rooms and ambulatory clinic exam rooms. The concept here is to look at many solutions and move through a progression of increased testing and evaluation before it impacts real patient care and the day-to-day work of providers. Home Health Room. The center also has a mock home space representing post-acute and home care. Together with the other spaces, the Center can show how patient flow occurs from home to hospital or clinic, back to home or post-acute care and even what happens when patients are out in their community. Innovation labs are vital to healthcare systems. First, they foster a culture of creativity and experimentation, allowing teams to explore new ideas and technologies that can improve patient care and operational efficiency. By providing a structured environment for testing and developing innovative solutions, these labs can address pressing challenges, streamline processes and enhance the overall healthcare experience. Second, they facilitate collaboration among diverse stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers and technology experts. By leveraging data and technology, these labs can pilot new models of care, improve health outcomes and ultimately drive transformation within the healthcare system. The Healthcare Transformation Center was made possible through a philanthropic partnership with CDW and we are extremely grateful for their support and commitment to a healthier community. |
