The Center for Translational Science (CTS) provides HonorHealth Research Institute with a whole new way of serving our community by dramatically expanding our ability to provide patients with access to tomorrow’s health innovations, today.

“Bench to Bedside” is a phrase often used to explain the translational process of taking new scientific discoveries from the laboratory, or “bench,” and applying them in clinical, or “bedside” practice. It’s shorthand for moving theoretical concepts into practical applications.

For more than two decades, the Research Institute has successfully tested new drugs, devices and techniques developed by our many national and international collaborators. The Center for Translational Science allows us to directly guide our own basic research to address the specific needs of our patients, providing them with the highest quality of personalized medicine.
