Patient Assistance |
Program to provide emergency social service and post-discharge funds for at-risk patients to help pay for needs such as rent or mortgage, in-home services, medications, medical equipment, transportation, and more. |
Behavioral Health Patient Assistance Endowment |
This program assists vulnerable patients who are seeking mental health treatment to ensure they have the resources to continue their path to well-being post-discharge. |
HAS Excellence Nursing Education Endowment Scholarship |
Supporting nursing education and scholarship programs helps provide educational opportunities and professional development for nurses across our hospitals. The fund is named in memory of former HonorHealth nurse, Helen Ann Shain (HAS). |
Virginia G. Piper Cancer Care Network |
The HonorHealth Virginia G. Piper Cancer Care Network works collaboratively to better serve—and save—cancer patients throughout Arizona. |
K-9 Security Program |
K-9 officers and their handlers provide a security presence in and around hospital facilities and create a calming effect for patients and staff, system wide. |
Military Partnership Training |
Military medical personnel and civilian first responders receive realistic training that includes practical learning with advanced human patient simulators with life-like functions. |
Adult Acute Leukemia Program |
The only distinct adult acute leukemia program in the Valley with experienced leukemia and bone marrow transplant specialists and standard procedures for testing and therapy to ensure patients get the right care in a timely manner. |
Bariatrics |
A comprehensive, multidisciplinary program including treatment and education to help seriously obese patients achieve safe, sustained weight loss. |
Bob Bové Neuroscience Institute |
Comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, brain trauma, brain tumors, neuropathy, back and spine, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and ALS. |

Child Life Specialist Program |
Helps young patients and their families develop ways to cope with fear, anxiety, and separation from home and school during hospitalization or ongoing treatment. |
Children's Toy Fund |
Provides toys to pediatric patients undergoing a procedure to help soothe them. |
Couplet Care |
Family-centered care in which mother and baby stay together from childbirth to discharge. Couplet Care facilitates family bonding, supports successful breastfeeding, and increases patient satisfaction. |
Deer Valley Medical Center Education |
Scholarships for continuing education for Surgery and Endoscopy nursing staff at Deer Valley. |
Deer Valley Medical Center General Fund |

Desert Mission Adult Day Healthcare |
A place where seniors can spend the day in a setting that is friendly, dignified and stimulating while caregivers enjoy a brief respite. Many participants have memory and other cognitive issues. (AZ Tax Credit Eligible) |
Desert Mission Food Bank |
Provides nutritious food as well as the necessary tools and resources to help clients achieve food security. (AZ Tax Credit eligible) |

A comprehensive education and training program to help patients learn about and manage all aspects of diabetes care including preventing complications. |

Employee Crisis Assistance Program |
HonorHealth employees have selflessly created this fund, which serves as a safety net for employees facing financial hardship due to a recent event or condition beyond their control. The fund covers expenses related to basic needs such as housing costs, utilities or vehicle payments or insurance. |
Forensic Nurse Examiners Program |
Compassionate, expert care for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, physical assault, or abuse victims. Provides care, education, and head-to-toe medical-forensic examinations, sample and evidence collection, and court testimony, if needed. |
Germ-Zapping Robots |
Robots at each of our medical centers utilize pulsed ultraviolet light to kill germs and sterilize rooms leading to a significant decrease of hospital acquired infections system wide. |
Heart Failure Program |
Works to improve the health and quality of life for heart patients and prevent hospital readmissions. |
Internal Medicine Residency Program |

Nursing Excellence |
Centralized access for nurses to receive support, training, tools, and opportunities. Provides the defined infrastructure to standardize, improve and advance nursing with patients as the central focus, system wide. |
Orthopedics - Shea |
Patient care, education, and training in adult joint reconstruction and replacement, pediatric services, sports medicine, surgery of the spine, hand, wrist, foot and ankle, and physical medicine/rehabilitation. |
Osborn Medical Center General Fund |
Supports areas of greatest need as determined by the Medical Center CEO. |
Hospice of the Valley Palliative Care |
Care that focuses on the quality of life of patients with serious illnesses by providing guidance and support during overwhelming clinical situations; help with managing difficult physical, spiritual, or emotional distress; enhanced communication and facilitation of family meetings; and alignment of the patient’s and family’s wishes and goals of care with a personalized treatment plan. |
Pediatric Services at Shea |
Children and their families receive a full range of expert medical care in a child-friendly environment. |
Pediatrics at Deer Valley |
Care for young patients in the West Valley. Children and their families receive a full range of expert medical care at the Virginia G. Piper Pediatric Center for Excellence at Deer Valley. |
Physical Therapy Program |
A wide range of PT techniques and technologies are used to help individuals restore and improve their functional ability, overcome pain, and prevent further injury. |
Graduate Medical Education |
Support to help create additional academic programs and provide the training and educational resources needed to successfully prepare tomorrow’s physicians to address a tidal wave of aging baby boomers and an existing physician shortage. |
Respiratory Services |
Comprehensive care and education for respiratory conditions and diseases. The latest technology is used to provide care services for asthma, pulmonary functions, smoking cessation, and sleep studies. |
